Litterbug Money

After our visit to Lynn Canyon the other day, we headed to the Capilano Salmon Hatchery.

We didn’t see too many salmon. The weather had been pretty hot and everyone’s praying for rain so that the water levels will rise and the salmons can swim up the stream (or so the lady in the gift shop told me).

But as we were walking around, the kids came across this “waterfall pond.” I’m not exactly sure what it’s for, but I guess many people use it as a wishing well or something, because there were coins at the bottom of the pond.

Zoë called out excitedly, “Mommy, look! Litterbug money!”

When we were about to leave, Zoë ran away from us and went down the ramp back to where the pond is. We’d given both Josh and her coins to toss in as well and she wanted to throw in some more “litterbug money.”
