Superhero Talk

Josh has finally abandoned his wish to be a chef. Now he wants be a superhero.

That’s probably what’s on his mind a lot these days, because last week --

Josh and Zoë were telling me they played with a JieJie (literally, an older sister, but also a polite form of address for an older female playmate). I asked Josh if he knows how old the JieJie was. Our helper said that she must be around 12 years old. Josh asked, “Mommy, is she a Teen-Ranger?”

That is so sweet! What little boy doesn't want to be a superhero and don't you love it when they say the cutest things and have no idea how cute it is!

A teen ranger!

When I was in college I was walking to the performing arts center when a pink power ranger jumped out from the structure and landed right in front of me! Apparently they were filing and I walked across the back of the scene. I didn't see the cameras on the other side of the structure. Quite startling.
