You Can’t Find Me!

A favorite game these days over here is hide-and-seek.
Josh has a favorite hiding spot: Underneath a pile of toys, in a corner, by the couch. The first time he hid there, it took over five minutes of earnest searching to find him. Now five minutes may not seem long, but if you consider how small our place is, it is an eternity! Because he was so successful at not being found whenever he’d hide there, he would use that spot often. We play along. *Wink, wink*
Because Zoë has heard us tell Josh what a cool hiding spot he’d found, she also wanted a go at hiding there. She would get us to help her into the spot and cover her up with the toys. Then we’re supposed to count to 10 and then find her. The thing is, she can not stay still. She fidgets. She gets all excited and even before we finish counting, she pops up.
Here I am!

Too darn cute! We love playing hide and seek at our house too. Now that they are 3 and 4 they have gotten much better...especially with all the practice of playing the last few years...lol. Their thing now is to ask me to hide with them when they know "daddy" is coming home. So when daddy pulls up, we run and hide and they are so good about staying still and quiet...and then daddy finds us. This makes their day. Sometimes it's kind of difficult because I will be in the middle of making supper or something like that but seeing how happy it makes them is worth stopping everything and enjoying the moment with them. :)

So cute! I love when kids can't contain their excitement or when you hear them giggling so you know where they are!

I can almost picture you all passing her by as she fidgets and giggles. That makes it even more fun because she has no idea that you really do know where she is.

Your house is always a fun place!

She's so sweet! It totally reminds me of that one scene in the movie ET where ET is hiding among the stuffed animals!!

That's so adorable! We have a picture of Lucy like that when she was 3 months old surrounded by all her stuffed animals. It totally reminds me of ET :)

Wow this pic brings back memories! When my son (now almost 11) was just an itty bitty he used to LOVE it when i dumped his laundry or stuffed toys on him in the crib! Sounds abusive im sure, but he loved it, the giggles he let out stay with me to this day! Which on Monday mornings when he's trying to prolong his now non-existent sickness....really come in handy lol !

My 6YO still yells "I'm ready" from her hiding place. Yeah, that pretty much seals the deal that she's going to be found.

Awww, I love Zoe! She's so adorable!! Carson can never stay hidden long either. He always giggles and gives away his hiding spot.
