This was me (in ponytail) at a pre-wedding "party" thrown for Chris and me by his colleagues.

This was back when I would swim 20 laps every night after work.
Maybe, just maybe if I swim even just 10 laps every day for three months, I might just be able to wear the same size that I used to wear back then?
Would 15 minutes of Wii Fit daily help? The 30 Day Shred? I lasted all of two weeks of the 30 Day Shred the last time.
I think I will plaster photos of me pre-kids all over the house.
Or I should just get Spanx already.

Spanx, the name just cracks me up! Why must you always hide your pretty face!
I think I would drown before completing 20 laps. I might try the 30 day shred.... do they have a 30 minute shred?
Lovely. And you only just had Zoe, after all. My guess is that in another 2 years you will be back to your pre-baby self.
Ehhh, forget that old you and embrace the new you. I love every wrinkle and ripple. They come with great memories.
I never try it, but I'm looking for great advices to loose some weight.
Stopping from Seven Clown Circus.
Hey, I feel your pain. I was super thin (too thin) before kids so the only way I could get back into that body would be to eat only lettuce for the rest of my life. :)
life it too short!
Happy WW!
Spanx is good. I hated the Shred but it does work. I actually think 2 weeks of the Shred isn't bad at all!
Yoga works best for me!
Oh I love my spanx!!! Best thing ever!
Hey, 20 swim laps isn't so tough...around the bathtub! By the time you're in peri-menopause (like me), you'll be used to your new body and jumping into the pool just to get rid of the hot flashes.
M.
I feel your pain. I was doing the 30 day shred(loved it!!!) and speed walking and exercising in the pool before I hurt my shoulder and was seeing results. Now after not working out for all these months I am seeing the results of that too...ugh. I think it's important to get exercise because it's good for our physical and emotional and mental health. I also think it's important to eat healthy and watch what we put into our bodies. Sadly, most of us will never get back to what were looked like before children and aging and all that good stuff no matter how much we exercise and eat healthy. The older we get the harder it come off...at least that is what I have found. I have also learned that as I get older I have to eat much less and exercise more to see results...ugh...not fair!!!
I am struggling with this issue yet I am struggling towards self acceptance. This is a battle for me even though I rarely talk about it.
I think you need to encourage yourself to make good healthy choices...if that means doing the shred or walking or yoga or mixing it all up. Don't shame yourself with putting the pressure of looking like you did when you were just getting married. Most of all, love yourself, right where you are right now. Believe me, I am saying this to myself as much as I am saying this to you :). Look at the beautiful wife and mother and friend that you are! XX Lori
too cute....yeah I lasted just about as long as you on The Shred...I just couldn't stick with it....meh...there is something to be said for Spanx I guess...maybe I should go buy a pair too!!
LOL, if the spanx work, let me know!!
You are too funny!
ohhh spanx rock!!! Your posts are soo funny!
hilarious! I still have all my skinny clothes too thinking I will someday be able to wear them again!
Oh, I know the feeling. Wii Fit does help, I've found. Never tried the 30 Day Shred. Sounds terrifying.
Stopping by from Seven Clown Circus!
LOL!! I hear soooo much about the 30 day shred. I don't know if I could hang for one week!
And wow, 20 laps a night!!!! That's awesome!
Hmmmm...Swimming or spanx? Spanx! LOL But then I prefer running. It helped shed all my baby weight.
I guess 20 laps is manageable and probably better than Spanx which, I imageine, must be pretty uncomfortable? LOL
Following back from MBC. Thanks for stopping by :) Hope to see more of you.
20 laps a night!? WOW!
I have never worn Spanx. They seem like they'd be so uncomfortable.
I don't have enough time anymore for working out either. I'm going with Spanx.
Spanx all the way. i don't do any of the fad worksouts to lose weight. i have been running on the treadmill at the gym and trying to cut out sugar and carbs. seems to be working. it's super hard to change my diet, though. happy WW and take care.
I feel your pain. It took me 4 miles a day, twice a day to get that damned baby weight off. And of course, half of it's back on. :)
I think you are so perfect : ) Spanx are the best! I heart them! I start a new diet every Monday morning. I am a failure for sure...
I loved Spanx. But plastering old pictures works for me too. Now if I could just get started again.
Learn to love who you are now. Even if you DO get back into those clothes, the new you is just as beautiful..
Sorry I've been absent for a while. I'm back now. Thanks for asking. :o)
Now I'm curious as to what Spanx are LOL. I'll have to google it. :)
I've heard PW talk about spanx but no idea. Does wii fit really work? I have a great workout plan... my 4 year old is my weightlifting and I chase after my 2 year old for my cardio! :)
I think we all wonder where the girls in our old pictures went... I, of course, would rather subscribe to the "Spanx diet" than commit myself to an exercise routine, LOL!
Happy WW!
No worries, my friend. You are beautiful!
We all mourn our pre-wedding/pre-baby bodies:-( We should comisserate over a nice cheesecake:-)
Its depressing how quickly those pounds creep up on you!
You look fabulous, just the way you are. ;-)
don't worry that's part of mommahood :) and i know you are still lovely!
u may view mine here
you are beautiful!!!! Great picture!! What is Spanx??You ,my dear will only get more lovely with age!!!
I know how you feel. I was super thin before kids too.
Spanx just sound so painful! It would make me feel like a stuffed sausage!!
I feel the same way when I look at old pics!
I'm already planning what I'm going to do after this little one is born, oh how I miss the pre-baby days, but on the otherhand, I wear my mommy body proudly, they are worth it!
Some of us aren't so lucky that we can have kids and look just like we did in highschool. I envy those kinds of people. It's Spanx for me!
If you have a moment, come check out My WW post!
