Every year our district organizes a Fire Safety Carnival on the soccer grounds right next door to where we live. Josh and Zoë were clamouring to go and check out the carnival even as the grounds were being prepared and the booths were being set up. The event had performances by singers, magicians, martial artists, etc. There were various booths where you get free popcorn, cotton candy, temporary tattoos, pinwheels, cute Play-Doh dolls. There were also game booths with games designed to raise fire safety awareness. They also had on display the different fire engines, an ambulance, and a couple of motorcycles that the fire department uses.
McFrownie asking me to hurry up because he wanted to check out the booths.![]()
Poor Zoë wasn’t tall enough for the Elite Brigade…![]()
It was hot, the queues were long, and this chubby girl with the big tummy was not too happy.
But she perked up after she got some cotton candy.![]()
The little diva caught in the net.![]()
Enough pictures already, Mommy, okay?
I said okay.
Then we headed home.
What’s the point of staying there any longer if they wouldn’t cooperate for pictures anymore?

Love watching their expressions go from "ummmm" to "whee!" :) They are a-dor-able!
I'm loving the peek-a-boo photo of Zoe behind the Elite Brigade cut-out. Maybe she'll be tall enough next year.
Awesome! It looks like so much fun. *grin*
HA! That lats pic of Josh is hilarious.
And really? what can't cotton candy fix?

Oh how looking at these pictures of your beautiful children and their adorable smiles and expressions makes me smile big. I've missed visiting here and reading the tales of your adventures with Zoe and Josh. They are so blessed to have a mother such as you. Thanks for the smile. :) XX Lori
What troopers they were and of course, supermommy to the rescue with the cotton candy. That will cure just about anything!
The picture Elite Brigade was adorable. Zoe's eyes were just about visible.
Looks like a great event. I love your son's expression in the last shot. Priceless.
Looks like it was a fun day - and the secret to having a good day to remember is to leave while you are still having fun - then the kiddos will want to go back!
HA. I mean really... no more fun when picture opts are over :)
