Sestri Levante

Chris and I visited this small town on the Italian Riviera in 2004. We flew into Genoa from Rome and had about an hour’s drive into Sestri Levante.
There is a certain quaint charm to the place, although it was a bit too sleepy, I found. We were there in March. Maybe it was off-season, maybe because it is not as well-known a tourist destination as its cousins –Portofino and Cinque Terre.
I was able to walk up and down the main “shopping” stretch in under 30 minutes. Shops close around lunch time and stay closed until late afternoon.
This is a place you’d want to go, though, if you want to gather your thoughts, if you need to get away and just want to chill.

Thanks for commenting on my WW post. My sister has a MAC computer and there is an application on there called photo booth. That is how I did all the pictures on that post. It's a very cool aplication. :)

These are my favorite kind of places. Quiet and sleepy, down by the ocean. Looks like a beautiful spot!

Only in my dreams will I ever visit a place so beautiful!! I love the way the buildings surround that one spot on the beach.

BTW, on Windows Live, is there a way to take a post off once it's been posted? Like in blogger, you can go back and save it as a draft and it'll take it off your blog and put it back in your drafts. But I don't see that option with WL.
