Smile!

I’ve seen this same smile countless times in my own photos from when I was a kid. I have so many other photos of Josh and Zoë with the same “smile.” This one below is of Zoë and her “best friend” L. I pointed my camera at them and said, “Smile” and this is what I got!

Please help out my friend Lindy and head on over to Future Blackmail where she has a giveaway for 16 sets of beautiful handcrafted jewelry (see a sampling below). Lindy is a wonderful step/mother and she writes with wicked honesty and humor. She and her family are raising funds to help defray legal costs of getting full custody of her two stepchildren, whose biological mother had committed a crime. Between now and 11th Apr, everybody who makes a donation will automatically be entered into a draw for one of the 16 sets of amazing handcrafted jewelry. Winners will be announced on 12th Apr.

Oh yes - that is the smile of a 1-1/2 to 3 year old girl...wait until you get the head tilt. They are very cute!

One of my granddaughters is in this phase of when she is aware her picture is being taken, all I get is what I call a mad monkey smile. So for now I'm just snappin' the pic when she is unaware. I'm sneaky that way!

Have a terrifically blessed evening...sweet dreams!

Lol! I used to just tell Sofi, "It's ok, you don't have to smile, just be serious if you want" in an attempt to get a more "natural" look :)

It cracks me up when they get that "smile" thing going on. It's almost better to say, "1, 2, 3...Chuck E. Cheese".

They are both adorable.

HA! I get that same smile when Evie is aware of the camera! I think learning how to smile for real is a rite of passage or something. Definitely a milestone. :)

Those two girls, "smile" or not, are adorable!

Ha! Yeah, we get that smile sometimes. ;-)

My daughter smiles the same way. I just don't get it really. Are they smiling or trying to go to the bathroom? ;)

Oh, yeah. I recognize that smile. It's as if you pinched them and then quick took a picture.
