As a firstborn, Josh has SO many pictures. For over 100 weeks (until Zoë was born), I would inundate the grandparents, the uncles and aunties, and my friends with photos of Josh. EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. You’d think that the world has never had such a wonderful baby –ever! –that every little mundane moment needed to be recorded for posterity. And freely and readily shared with others to ooh and ahh over –whether or not they were so inclined. A new parent’s prerogative, no?
Out of all the pictures that I’ve taken of Josh, the one above has to be one of my all-time favorites. It was taken when he was just four months old and right after his first dip in the pool. There’s something about the way he was looking right at the camera, with his little rosebud lips parted just so that totally disarms me. And those creamy pink cheeks… (Settle down, guys! Oops, sorry. Just having a word with my ovaries.)
