Yes, it’s purely symbolic.
Yes, it’s kindergarten.
But I am proud nonetheless.
The tassel was hanging right smack down the middle of his face!
Josh, together with his fellow graduates (all seven of them), emceed the Summer Concert. They took turns introducing the various numbers from the K1, K2, Nursery, and playgroup classes. One of them would do the intro in English and the other would do the same intro in Mandarin. They were pretty good –no nervousness, very self-assured and confident. A couple of them even managed to sneak in a wolf whistle or two at the microphone after their turn at doing the intro, much to the audience’s amusement.
I couldn’t get a good shot. We were seated right smack in the middle of the very first row (yeah, prime seats!), but they were using the mike on the right side of the stage. That’s why every single pic that I got of Josh was from an angle and partially obstructed by the microphone stand! Out of consideration for the other people in the audience, I didn’t want to stand and move around, so I just pretty much shot from where we sat. I will just have to wait for the school DVD, which will hopefully give us better angles.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Aww! Congrats to Josh! You deserve to be proud of him :)
So cute! You should be proud! I'm a sucker for these kinds of events. My son had his tassel in the middle of his forehead too :)

He looks precious in his little graduation outfit!!
Yah Josh!!!
I love the pic of the kid looking inside his diploma - just checking to make sure it's in there!
That is adorable! Congrats!
Come on over and check out my guest post-I'm giving away lots of books!
Proud Mama! Yes it's symbolic and yes it's kindergarten and yes it's the begining of the rest of all his other wonderful accomplishments.
What a sweet event they put together for you all. I love it. And so funny that every shot had either his tassel or the mike in his face. Ah well...
How awesome!!!! Congratulations, Josh!!!!
Congratulations, J-man!!
Of course you are proud!! It's a wonderful moment for him!
Awwwwww! That graduation ceremony may just be the cutest thing I've seen all day!
It's amazing how some parents lack the common courtesy of NOT standign up from their seats to take their kid's pictures. At my two eldest preschool grad ceremonies, the teachers kept telling parents to not block the aisle and for parents to take pictures from the sides of the room. Btw, I think it's great that Josh is not stage shy.
Oh my goodness, that is too sweet! Congrats to him :)

What an awesome ceremony!! Love these sweet photos.
Congratulations, Josh:) What beautiful photos of him and the ceremony:)
Awww! Congratulations!
Congratulations on Josh's graduation!!! He looks adorable! Did you sit there the whole time having flash forwards of his high school graduation? It's all I could see when we sat through Cole and Bella's kindergarten graduation last month!
Josh is SO ridiculously cute. I can't even take that kind of sweetness. He is adorable!
Congratulations, Josh! Re: trying to be my kids' event photographer/videographer, I have done this several times, till I finally decided to give up and just enjoy the occasions. Nothing will be more satisfactory for the kids, than to see the smiles on their parents' faces and hear the applause.
AWWW...graduation...!!! He is such a brave boy! It must be pretty daunting to be up there on the stage, facing a sea of unfamiliar faces. Well Done!
OMG these are the cutest pictures ever! I would be such a proud momma too! Josh is to cute in the cap and gown! I bet you couldn't help but see a glimpse into the future! Congrats! How exciting!
