I had to submit a fun Photoshop project. It had to be “unreal.” This is what I came up with:

I had this photo that I took last year of an empty nest. I figured that perhaps I could put a baby in it, but I couldn’t find any good baby picture to go with it.
Then I came across this cute baby polar bear on Google Images (Nature’s Crusaders). What I did: Simply copied and pasted this image over my nest photo. Used Free Transform to shrink and adjust the angle of the cub so that he’ll fit perfectly inside the nest. I then added a layer mask and used the Brush tool (low opacity, low hardness) to brush out the snow around the bear.
So now, I have this:
It looked like there’s room for some more fun. I then found this image below on Webshots. Using the Quick Selection Tool, I selected the mama bird and copied and pasted it to the photo above (with the cub in the nest). I used the Clone tool to “clone” in the feathers on the small parts where the baby bird’s beak was in the way when I’d selected mama bird. Again, using the Free Transform tool, I adjusted the size and placed the mama bird where I wanted it to rest on the nest.
I couldn’t resist. I just thought that this might be a great ad for a daycare, with a tagline that says “We look after your children like they are our own.”
What do you think? Would you at least check out this daycare for your child? *wink*
Note: This is purely a fun exercise and the resulting “ad” is not a real ad. No such company exists and the address, phone number and URL listed were totally made up on my part.

I'm so impressed by your PS skills. I love the tagline.
I wanna take care of the baby polar bear. You did a good job!
Haha that's so funny! Love the slogan and the picture goes along with it!
Well to go there! Photoshopping technology is getting so much better nowadays. It's hard to distinguish what's real and not. You did a good job :)
Very impressive and precise work! Bravo.
I love it! I sure wish I had photoshopping skills.
Wow! This is so cool. I would check out that daycare if I were in the market for one.
I'm just getting into photography, and I don't have Photoshop. My husband installed Gimp (but not the manual!) and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do ANYTHING.
haha! Wonderful! My first reaction was "look at how surprised the mamma-bird looks to find a bear in there"...but when you added the fake ad, that totally worked too! I'd let my kids go there, for sure. Amazingly impressive photoshopping skills, btw :)
Look at you and your mad photoshop skillz!
