Big Leaves / Big Heart

Who’d have thought that my kids are like ants?  Zoë found some big leaves in the park and picked one up.  When I asked her what she’s going to use the leaf for, she raised it over her head and told me, “I need shade, Mommy.”

I just love how ingenious and imaginative kids get.

On the way home, something got into Josh’s eye and he cried out.  He wouldn’t let us look at his eye to see what was wrong, but he was rubbing his eyes and crying.  He said that it was the sun that hurt his eyes.  Immediately, Zoë leaned over and handed over both of the leaves that she picked and said, “Here, KoKo.  You can use these to shade your eyes.”

Moments like that one totally make me melt.

She was willing to give up her shade just for her brother. You and Chris are doing such a great job of raising loving, caring kids. It's refreshing!

How cute! Sometimes a girl just has to create her own shade. It's so sweet that she has the compassion to share it with her 'KoKo'!!! You are so blessed.

Ya'll have a delightfully blessed weekend!!!

How thoughtful of Z :) That was really sweet of her. Sometimes siblings fight like there's no tomorrow and sometimes they are so kind and considerate to each other.

You always manage to capture something new with your kids. I never know what I'm going to see. I just know that it will be another page in "The adventures of Josh and Zoe." :)
