I talked about our blueberry-picking experience in yesterday’s post, but I don’t want to leave you with the impression that it’s all just blueberries…
And potatoes.
Why do we always end up picking blueberries when we could have also picked strawberries or raspberries?Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
With blueberries, there is no need to bend down low the way you’d have to with strawberries. Blueberries are perfect for children and grown-ups alike. The children pick from the lower branches, while the adults tackle the higher ones. Blueberry plants (bushes?) don’t have thorns the way raspberries do. Blueberries are also less fragile and we don’t have to worry about little fingers squishing the fruits when they pick them off.

Fabulous photos! Everything looks so fresh and there is nothing better than picking your own. Great for the kids to learn stuff actually grows on bushes and not in store showcases Lol!

We didn't have a great berry crop this year in GA. (Read HOT!!!) Today I got some great green beans and banana peppers in my farmers market basket, tho. Sam LOVES them both "raw"!
Such beautiful photo's of such delicious fruit and veggies. We have been eating from our garden for the past couple of weeks...nothing like baby potatoes and green beans freshly picked...tomatoes are going to be coming in soon...I will have tomatoes coming out of my ears and peppers and all that yummy goodness. It will be busy but so worth it.

Narelle is crazy about blueberries, so I'm taking her as soon as she's a little older and easier to handle on long distance flights.
