Splish-Splash!

Zoe-Waves(SFW)

We took to St. Stephen’s beach again, but this time we left the clams at the beach.  We managed to catch some baby fish, but we also poured those back out to sea before we left.  Josh wanted to know why we couldn’t bring them home as pets, so we had this long discussion of why we could not have salt-water fish as pets in our house.  Do you know that 5-year olds ask a lot of questions?  Do you know that all it takes is a 5-year old asking questions to let you realize that you don’t know a lot of things?

{Zoë, at least, still accepts what I say as gospel.  Not for long, I know.}

Zoë was so happy to be splashing in the water.  Initially, she would just stay on the shore.  Then little by little she would inch nearer the water line.  Before long, she was lying on her tummy, waiting for the waves to come splashing down on her.  Sometimes the waves were strong enough that she got spun around in a 360-degree turn.  And she would squeal in delight.

We are so going to get as many beach trips in as we can before the weather starts getting cooler!

What do you like most about being at the beach?

Fun - makes me wish we could be at the beach again. I laughed about having a kid makes you feel like you don't know a thing because I have a 9-1/2 year old that thinks he knows it all ;)

I miss the beach terribly. Living in Colorado, there's not much of a beach anywhere except at the local reservoir. When we lived in Virginia, we were at the beach almost every other weekend. I just love the calming sound of the waves and the feel of the sand between my toes. Very relaxing!

Love your pics! Have a great week!

Oh how that makes me want to run and jump in! I especially love the black and white of miss Zoe. Enjoy your 'beach' time.

God bless ya and enjoy your day!!!

You're smart to get them in as much as possible! I can't believe fall is on the horizon.

Looks like a wonderful time!! (do 5 year olds ask more than 4 year olds? If so I'm doomed when Tommy turns 5!!!)

Oh my goodness these photo's are just so sweet...love their happy expressions and you can just see how much they love being at the beach. I laughed out loud when I read about 5 year olds asking a lot of questions and causing you to realize that you don't know a lot of things. Believe me, that doesn't change for a long time but there will come a day that they realize you know a lot. :)

What I love about going to the beach? The warmth of the sun...the smells...the happy smiles and laughing children...seeing people having fun...the sound of the water...being away from all the things that take me away from being present, like the computor, tv, phone...:)Sadly,we don't get to the beach very often but when we do, you better believe we enjoy every moment of it! :)

They are so precious. I just love their happy smiles and the magic childhood they enjoy. I know that none of it would be possible without a fantabulous mother like you
:)

Watching my son laugh and play is my favorite part of the beach.

The pictures are beautiful as always and I also feel like I know very little when my son starts asking questions, I don't know what I will do when he is older ;)
