Look Who’s Clickin’ Away (and a Giveaway)!

*Giveaway closed*

I finally got out the training chopsticks that I bought a long time ago and Zoë has been wanting to use them whenever she eats noodles.  It’s so cool to see her and Josh use these training chopsticks to eat their food.  I remember having a difficult time learning how to use chopsticks when I was a kid.  I don’t think I really learned how to use them until I was around 10 years old, possibly even older… I wish they had these back when I was learning.

~~—~~

Now, because I think the training chopsticks are so cool…

And because I think your kids might enjoy using them as much as mine do…

And because I am celebrating my 40th birthday tomorrow…

I am giving away one pair of these chopsticks each to TWO of you!  You could even choose which character you want (assuming the store has stock) and you have the option of a right-handed pair or a left-handed pair… or even a pair for older children.  I will ship it to wherever you are in this whole wide world!

To enter, all you have to do is leave me a comment and let me know at what age you learned to use chopsticks (it’s okay, too, if you tell me that to this day, you still haven’t learned how to do it)!  That’s all!

For extra entries --

1.  You can get an 1 extra entry per day if you vote for me by clicking on the Top Mommy Blogger button at the top of my sidebar on the right.  Leave me a separate comment each time you do (you can do it only once every 24 hours).  The button that looks like this ..

2.  Tweet about this giveaway and leave me the link. You could simply copy and paste this:  Win a pair of Edison training chopsticks for your child @Buckeroomama #Giveaway http://bit.ly/aCjhfG – 1 extra entry.

One winner with a valid entry will be selected on 15th September using random.org. The winner will be announced and must respond with a current email address within 48 hours to claim. Otherwise, another eligible entry will be chosen.
Have fun and good luck!

I’m doing this giveaway purely for fun and this is not a sponsored post in any way.

First of all, Happy Birthday to you! I hope you have a most wonderful day celebrating 40 years of life. Here's to at least 40 more!

I have tried to use chop sticks but am not very good at it so if I would win these does that mean I could use them for me to learn instead of one of my little's? :)

Happy Birthday to you!
These chopsticks are beyond adorable. To this day, I still am not able to use chopsticks. I always tried but never got the hang of it!

I never knew that there were training chopsticks. I don't remember teaching my kids especially my youngest daughter how to use chopsticks. One day out of the blue, as we were eating, she just grabbed a pair and started picking on her food and after a few practices, she got it. Of course I always wanted her to use a fork because it seems so much better and easier for her but no, she always prefers her chopsticks.

I actually learned how to use chop sticks in the 7th grade. My math teacher was from Hong Kong and she taught us and brought food for us to practice.

I shouted out on Twitter for you so others will come see the great chop sticks

OMG! It would be sooo soooo fun to win these! My son is always begging to use my chopsticks when we are at restaurants!

I think it would be fair to say I was around 12 or 13 when I first was introduced/used chopsticks. But I don't think it was until I was 15 that I mastered them (being able to eat rice with them!).

That's such a great idea! I think I was a teenager when I got the hang of using them properly - before that I would stab the end through my food!! I don't have kids, but if I win, I would use them to teach the Brownies in my village - so it would benefit about a dozen girls :)

Ummm, first let me say a huge happy birthday to you. I so wish I was there to help you celebrate!

I have to admit that I STILL can't seem to master the chopsticks. The last time I ate at a Chinese restaurant, the waitress gave me the trainer ones. So, I'm hoping that if I win, that I will win the character of Zoe's choice. I will gladly use it with style.

These are really cute! I think I started using training chopsticks at around the age of 3 I think. My mom is Korean so eating with chopsticks was a normal part of life in my home! I have training chopsticks for my boys but not as cute as these!

Anika said...

That photo of your little one is so adorable. I think I must have been 4 or 5 when I learned...I loved chinese food and so we ate it a lot! I had to learn with the wad of paper and rubber band trick! Thanks for the chance to win!

Sarah said...

Um, do they make training chopsticks for grown-ups?? Because I would so buy a pair!! I've tried many times, and am usually marginally successful, but it just takes way too long to eat like that. On second thought, maybe if I DID use chopsticks I'd lose a few pounds :) My kids love trying to use chopsticks whenever we eat at a Japanese or Chinese restaurant.

Ok, so I have not mastered the use of chopstick, so those trainers would so be for me. I never knew thye had training chopsticks until last year when my class learned about Japan and one of my students that was born there brough some in to show the class. I have been trying to get my hands on a pair ever since.

Aunt LoLo said...

Hahaha...I think I was...7, when I learned to use chopsticks. We had a steady stream of Japanese foreign exchange students, and I forced one of them to teach me. Then, for a week, I had nothing by dry cereal for breakfast. I very carefully picked up the cereal, piece by piece, without crushing it. (It was Chex....square cereal that looks like pillows made of webbing. Very...crushable. ;-)) It was great practice!!
