Chinese New Year (CNY)–Day 1

We initially decided to go to China to this much-raved about theme park/resort on CNY, but at the last minute decided against it.  Friends and family have been telling us how crowded and stressful it would be to try to go to China on CNY.  It would be.  I just didn’t consider that when I’d planned it.  Duh.  At any rate, it’s good that we didn’t go.  Both the kids had fever and I caught it from them –the day that we were supposed to have left!

So it is that we found ourselves here in Hong Kong on CNY.  Chris has a 4-day weekend and we’re just relaxing, playing Wii.

We dressed Josh and Zoë up in their CNY outfits.

We gave out lai see packets to our friends’ children.
Josh and Zoë received lai see packets from our (married) friends.
