1. Kitchen
This stone pot rice with short ribs and mushrooms came from a kitchen –only not mine, but the restaurant’s. This was what I had tonight.
2. Things That Make You Go “Hmmm…”
This was part of an ikebana exhibit… using air ducts as plant holders.
3. Me Time
These days, “Me” time is spent walking around with my camera and taking pictures, stopping at leisure without having to hurry up and catch up with the kiddies.
Bird of paradise
4. Group of Three
We went to my friend’s {plant} nursery and they had pots of these flowers all lined up in one of the areas. (Yeah, “these” flowers, because I don’t know the name.) They come in all sorts of vibrant colors. Apart from the three that you see here, we saw white and purple, too.
5. Decay
An old, old fan… does this count?

Pansies. ;o) My grandmother planted them every year. Beautiful memories.
The ikebana using an air duct...who thought of that! People are so creative.
Such a variation of color today; from primary, to a bit of pastel, to natural. All very nice!
These are so great and when did you do a blog makeover? I'm loving the header section. I really like your 2nd shot. How neat!
Beautiful photos! I am so happy I can leave comments now... yay! :)
Those flowers are pansies! They are EVERYWHERE here in Georgia from October through probably March; then the spring flowers start blooming and the pansies are dug up til fall. They provide a pop of color and a breath of fresh air here when nothing else is blooming; I consider them to be some of the cheeriest flowers that I know. And that kitchen shot just made me hungry. tyvm. Love the Bird of Paradise; yes, the fan would be at least heading towards decay... and what IS that crazy air duct thing? Just a plant holder? Really? Wow.. seems like a lot of work, but it IS colorful! Great shots...
Beautiful choices! LOVE your take on "group of 3".
I love the shot of the fan. Very cool. :)

I think I'm all-flowered-out for this week. Allergies are killing me every time I take photos outside. It's time to get back to portraits, I guess. LOL
Air ducts as plant holders...how creative!!! :)
Love the photos!
And cracking up that you know about these amazing exotic flowers... and we are the ones who have pansies in every color sprouting up all over our lawn :) Aren't they cheerful?!

Great hunt! I want some of that dinner!
Love the bird of paradise, we used to grow them in my father's garden. Have a beautiful day. xxx

Ohhh - YES! It let me comment this week!!!!
Love the flowers. I see a lot of pansies around here every winter. They even survive the rare snowfall. Your hmmm shot is very appropriate for the prompt. So unusual!
Wow, I love your new look here! Glad the comment section works better. When it wouldn't show up, I would just click on refresh!!

Fabulous shots and I think the old rusty fan definately counts for decay - that is one great shot!
That fan shot is great.
I've never seen a bird of paradise before - aptly named!
Our "Me Time" (both the shot AND the words) is very similar. I'm glad there are other people around that thing Me Time can be found in 60 second snatches. :)
