Flowers Everywhere

Okay, I now believe that spring is really here.

Wisteria

{Wisteria}

Sweet Shot Day

The weather has totally warmed up.

{I’d used Kim Klassen’s Warm Sun texture to brighten up this photo a bit.}

And these bright red orange flowers are in bloom.

More than anything else, I know that spring has arrived when I see those bright orange flowers up on the trees.  Every year, these are the harbingers of spring.  I don’t know what these flowers are called, but I look forward to seeing them every year around this time.  Their big bright red orange blooms provide such contrast against the starkness of the leafless branches.

I’ve never seen one up close until we saw this one on the ground.  Pretty, isn’t it?

My favorite time of the year is fall, but spring is a very close second.

If only because of beautiful flowers everywhere.

What is your favorite season?

Gorgeous pictures! My favorite season is Fall also. Spring is pretty, but it really just teases me. So Fall, Summer, Winter and then Spring for me.

It's spring here too - the potholes are in full bloom! Gorgeous photos as always. Love the leathery sheen on that last flower's petals.

I'm so jealous. I really need Spring to arrive here. It keeps teasing us and then snowing. =( Love the wisteria.

Wow. Gorgeous, beautiful. I love all of your captures, but the lily pad is definitely my favorite. The texture and color is fantastic.

Oh the wisteria is lovely! Spring is definitely my favourite season, all the new flowers and the weather is nice and warm but not disgustingly hot like Summer :D

Stunning! All of them! I love the reflection in the water on the texture shot. Fall is my favorite season and spring and summer; I guess just not winter.

It looks gorgeous - great pics!

I´d say my favourite season is anyone but winter. I HATE being cold and no matter how much clothes I put on, I´m still cold... :-/

My favorite season is either spring or fall. I can't choose! I'd probably lean more towards fall though because during spring where we live the storm season is pretty bad during the unsettled weather change!

I love the flower! It really is gorgeous! Your first photo is a favorite too!

The beautiful flowers, thanks for sharing.
I love summer, despite living in England for over 25 years, I still miss the hot weather of my tropical island.

Have a great week. xxx

Funny....I chose wisteria for my sweet shot too this week! Beautiful flowers all of them. I think it's safe to say that spring is on its' way here too but still no flowers or even anything green.

Hey there!

This is nature at its best. I especially love the Wisteria. Here in my country, I don't really see colorful flowers or flowers for that matter, anymore.

As I live in a tropical country, there's really only the sunny days or the rainy days to choose from. I would go for Winter cos we don't have that. Haha!

About your comment in my blog..

It's sad, knowing the fate of what nature has to offer. When it gets publicized, people will start pouring in, capitalism would try to expand its horizon, and then 10 years later, the place would have lost its beauty.

Wow, looks like spring is really there for you! I posted about that as well, but 2 of my pics have snow in them, ha! I love that orange flower just so vibrant, and I am always love taking pictures of water lilies.

Have a great week

Any season but winter...that's my favorite season! So jealous of those flowers. Yesterday I CRAWLED on the ground looking for spring. I THINK I might have seen a few green leaves trying to break free from the frozen tundra! Love your pictures...the texture adds a nice warmth.

Most definitely, spring is my favorite of all! The flowers, the birds singing and even the fragrance in the air. The blossoms on the red tree are gorgeous. I just love all of your photos! Do you do touch ups on them?
