Not even a skirt would do. It has to be a dress. Preferably one in which she could twirl around and have the skirt fly up. Preferably pink. Preferably with flowers. Or even better, with pink flowers.
Every morning now, she would ask to wear a dress to school. The only time she would agree to wear leggings or shorts is when she’s going to the playground or when she has gymnastics class.
Otherwise, she has to have a dress on. all. the. time! If she has her way, she’d wear dresses 24/7. And that clip on her hair above? She’s the one who put it on herself. She then proceeded to ask me if she looks pretty. She said it makes her look like she’s going to the beach.

I love these faces you've captured. She is beautiful! I was reading about you and looking at your photography. Really enjoyed it. Your take on life is beautiful!
She is beyond beautiful! I just love your little girly girl! I wish you lived close by so I could come and play with her and watch her twirl in her dresses. She is the best.
Oh, my goodness! She is so beautiful, B! Love her precious smile. She looks completely happy with her little dress on. =)
Zoe is really sweet.. I hope my little girl will grow up to be a girly girl too..
Oooooooooh - she´s so sweet that there are no words to describe it! :-)
Have a lovely day my dear! :-)
She looks so grown up all of a sudden! Such a little lady too! I was never a girly girl when I was that age (Well more like not until I was 16!) Hope she twirls to her hearts content!
Oh yes that sounds very familiar!! She is darling in her dress :) and the clip is very sweet.I can't get Miss to wear pants without a fight so I don't bother ..
Oh my gosh that is too cute!! She really is a girly girl! :)

My little girl went through a similar stage. Now all she wants to wear are sweat pants! I'd take the dresses any day :)
She is just too precious! LOVE that joyful smile.
Wow, she put on the hair clip herself? It looks great. She looks amazing, although all she really needed for that was that radiant smile.
My little one is the same way with dresses. Even her pajamas have to be dresses. Usually pink. And yes, flowers too. And she'll look at herself in the mirror and do a little dance and say "I look so pretty." :)
Here's to pretty girly girls in pink flower dresses.
My coworker's daughter is the exact same way. Girlie is cute though. And she knows how to work it!
My oldest daughter always had to wear a dress in preschool and kindergarten - nothing else would do! Those photos are gorgeous!!
What a beautiful daughter you have! Lovely images!
Absolutely lovely!
You are a blessed mama to get to see that beautiful smile everyday. What gorgeous shots!
She's so adorable! It must be a stage. My 5 year old daughter wants to wear blue tights all the time, doesn't matter what with. could be a dress, jeans whatever. I'm just glad she doesn't insist on wearing them to bed. At least not yet :)
Ahhh... the pure joy on Zoë's face, priceless! Narelle loves dresses too, but fortunately she is still very open to my fashion suggestions ;-)
Such a sweet, sweet, beautiful girly girl! Delicious! These images are stunning!
First of all that is such a pretty dress! My 4 year old daughter was the exact same way, only wanting to wear dresses. Then a month or so ago, having already bought a lot of spring clothes, she decided no, dresses were passe and skirts were in and only the fluffy tulle type. So that is now what she wears every day - although at home it is hard to get her out of her gymnastics leotard. Also, she selects and puts in her own hair bows too :-)
I was so not a girlie girl, I don't know how I ended up with such a girlie daughter!
Lovely photos and lovely commentary. Have a very happy Mother's Day weekend.
Oh I just love little girls in dresses! What a great decesion.
I had 5 sons and now 3 granddaughters. I love, love buying them dresses♥
She is so beautiful~
Are you serious?! The cuteness here is just too much! I LOVE IT! So feminine she is :D How sweet! I love girly clothing and she put that clip in herself?! Get outta town! Sweet shots here!
She is so so adorable and she looks great in dresses! These are just awesome photos of her!!
My girls say they love dresses- but they don't act very lady like when they wear them- so they just hang in the closet until they outgrow them. Then I get sad that they were never worn. I suppose I need to let them wear them more & then they will learn how to behave in them. :)
sooo cute - I have a girly girl - little princess - every day she puts on the biggest, fluffiest, twirliest dress she can find. i've discovered the thrift store and keep her stocked in dresses that I don't mind her using as play clothes :)
She is the pretties little girl I've ever seen! If I have a girl someday, I'm sure she will be a girly girl like Zoe just because I'm the complete OPPOSITE of girly girl :)
What a preciously beautiful beach baby she is in her springy pink and green frock! Of course she looks adorable in anything!
God bless ya sweetie and have a marvelous Mother's Day weekend! :o)
Awww...Zoe is such a sweetheart, like she is going to the beach? Cute! My daughters are both going through the same thing. I am almost tempted on not buying any shorts for the summer because all they want are dresses!
She looks so happy in her dress :) My daughter went through a similar phase. So much so that she would only wear nightgowns and not PJ's with pants or shorts. Nightgowns aren't that easy to find since I guess people like regular PJ's, so whenever we found them we had to buy them up! We've only just convinced her to occasionally wear shorts or pants.
oh my gosh--so darn cute! Great shots, she is just adorable :)
She is so adorable! I remember when my daughter did the same exact thing. Actually she still loves to wear dresses that are very frilly. :-) So different than the boys.
Well, if I looked that darling in a dress I'd want to wear one all the time too! What a sweetie.
Well I think that is just precious! I remember when my daughter used to love dresses too! She still does, but at 12 years old, she doesn't wear them too often anymore. Enjoy it!! :)
She's such a doll super cute! I wish I had a little girl that demanded that she wore a dress lol.
She's seriously beautiful :) I lvoe her little hairpiece
Well, as the mother of all boys, I'd say this is not such a bad problem to have. :)
Oh my...just pure sweetness. She is such a cutie and what a gorgeous smile. Love her little dress!
Zoe is completely and undeniably precious! What a sweetie. :)
She looks adorable. A perfect little princess. Sarah over here is exactly the same. Dresses, she wants to wear. Only dresses. Sometimes a skirt, if she has to. It's so much fun to see them grow into little ladies. I guess I should better head into the studio again. There are lots of dresses to be made! :D
What a cutie pie! She's absolutely adorable and these shots are gorgeous.
Thanks for participating in fabulous Friday!
I was the same way as a kid - thank goodness I grew out of it... I don't have time to be pretty, ha! :)
She is utterly adorable. I am smitten over that crinkly nose smile!
I've been scrolling through your blog and could comment on every photo...but finally landed here, these are just magical!
