Scavenger Hunt Sunday | Give Me Flowers!

1.  Give Me Flowers -  This was part of a floral arrangement at a flower exhibit that we saw.   This one looks like Cinderella’s carriage to the ball, doesn’t it?  Is it just me or is Zoë’s fascination with all things Cinderella rubbing off on me?

2.  Visual Contrast – Another arrangement at the same floral exhibit.  I particularly love this one.  Instead of flowers, it used these little gourds and some dried leaves and twigs, which made for some great contrast, I think –in terms of color and lines, light and shadow.

3.  Before and After – More floral arrangements from the exhibit.    There were so many really lovely arrangements and I just took tons of photos.  I don’t know what flowers these are, but I really like them.

Fabulous photos! I love that first shot and it really does look like a carriage fit for a fairy princess - but then I have a four year old too :-) I really love your last shot of the tree branch in the evening light, just wonderful.

Non, it's not just your impression, that flower definitely looks like Cinderella's carriage! And the little green flowers look like small frogs to me... With their tiny black eyes peering at the top. :)

Lovely photos.

It does look like a princess carriage and all the other shots are beautiful, too! I always enjoy visiting your pictures!

Your "before and after" almost look like the flowers that onions will put up sometimes.

Your "dark" looks so mysterious and exotic.

All beautiful photos! Loving the first one the most!!

I'm glad you asked me what the first one as I haven't got a clue about the 3rd photos flowers. Your cinderella carriage is the flower from a Gloriosa Lily bulb. Oh I would love to be able to grow these well - they are so beautiful but tall and they don't like our scottish winters and have to be kept indoors until all frost is over.
