Scavenger Hunt Sunday | Childhood Memory

1. Fruit – Zoë is our resident fruit monster.    She gobbles down fruits by the plateful –blueberries, strawberries, watermelons, apples, dragon fruits, kiwis… All kinds of fruits, really.  Fruits that we find sour, she eats up like they’re the sweetest things ever.

2.  Shape(s) – Josh and Chris sitting on Josh’s bed playing one of their bedtime games (something to do with wars and zombies!), with the quilt my grandma made for me, over their legs.  I remember my grandmother sewing pieces of squares and triangles on the quilt, only at the time, I didn’t realize that she was making the quilt for me.Shapes

3.  Green – This is what Zoë does while Josh plays soccer.  She plops down on the ground and doodles away.  She draws me princesses, fancy hats, bouquets of flowers, and cupcakes with lots of sprinkles!

4. Childhood Memory – Seeing Josh and his friends play with these robots brings back memories of when I was a child.  I used to get home from school, eager to finish my homework so that I could watch the Japanese robot shows on TV (Voltes V, Mazinger Z, Daimos, Mekanda, etc.) .  I still remember some of the words to the Voltes V theme songin Japanese!  My cousins and I would sing loudly along whenever the show came on.

5.  Long Exposure – The simplest option, I’d thought, would be to do it with a flashlight, but I couldn’t find ours.  So I decided to shoot the flame on our stove.  It came out rather boring with just the flame, so I decided to spice it up a bit!
