Halloween 2014

Halloween is not that big around here.  Yes, the stores sell a lot of candies this time of the year.  Halloween decorations are up in a lot of places.  Some people do dress up.  But pumpkin carving and jack-o’-lanterns?  We don’t see much of that.  Trick-or-treating?  Mainly in expat communities.

Big or not, Josh and Zoë both love getting dressed up for Halloween.  This year we managed to arrange with a few families that we would go trick-or-treating at each other’s houses.  So off we went.  The kids had a blast.  The loot was manageable.  I definitely think we will be doing this again next year!

How fun you were able to go out for a bit! Living in a city makes it interesting! I heard kids outside though and there are more residential areas in my part of town!

Their costumes/make-up is great. Honestly, when my children were young(er), I would take them down a few houses on one side of the street and then back up the other and they were thrilled. We didn't do the 'whole' neighborhood or anything big. It was plenty and they got to dress up and get candy. I hope you all get to do it again next year. Happy (belated) Halloween!
