The Creativity Project | Family

In my prayers, the first thing for which I offer up thanks is my family.  I feel blessed in so many ways –from my parents and the extended family with whom I grew up, to my “new” extended family (my in-laws), to our own little family now.  I treasure each one of them, though I might not show or tell them often enough.

Families take walks together.

Families enjoy food together… even though not everybody might like the same kind of food.

The kids wake early make breakfast on Mother’s Day.

They help dig holes, deep enough to make a small tunnel.

They help pull you back when you’ve drifted away.

Families are happy to have someone who had been away for camp back home with them.

I have, what I refer to my serendipity peeps for a family. I have two daughters, I have three step-children from my second marriage, and am now in a long term committed relationship and have three step-sons.I In addition I have my best friend who I consider my sister and her family my relations. I consider them all a part of my family. Richard Bach (who wrote Jonathon Livingston Seagull) said "rarely do members of one's family grow up under the same roof." And I know I am blessed.

So very beautiful! The Mother's Day plate with "I <3 U" spelled out just melted me. And you captured the souls of your babies perfectly...

The kids continue to change. I'm always amazed! It seems that they mature from month to month!
