Acknowledge

When someone lets me cut in on their lane, I make it a point to raise my hand to acknowledge their kind gesture.  I appreciate it, too, when they do same when I let them in.  A favor deserves a thank you –in whatever form one can manage.  It really does make my day when I see bus drivers raise (or wave) their hands when another lets them in.  There’s nothing like a little road courtesy and kindness to keep the good vibes going.

I really try to do the same. People up here are not the best drivers, so when someone manages to help me on my way I say thanks!

Sooo true...but it seems that many people are unaware. :(

You are right! I tend to forge ahead because in my commute to work and back (30 plus miles a day), if you hesitate, you lose. Good reminder to be more kind in my car :) Love the photo, too!

yes we need to be courteous on the road. I also acknowledge people when they stop to let me walk across the street.
Great mural by the way. Where is this? Have a great week.

I have even been known to give a wave of appreciation to the person allows some one ahead of me to turn thus freeing up the traffic I am stuck in...

So true!! I'm teaching to say "thank you" to my girls in every occasion and, when I'm driving and they are with me, we all raise our hands!

Hear Hear! for the hand wavers. I'm one, too. :)

Nice picture. We can't see her face, but her body language says it all.

Happy New Year to you and your family, Singwa!

Very true! I also wave hands or blink with my headlights when it's dark - our main street is so busy and I'm happy when someone stops to let me cut their lane when I have to take a turn. It's so easy to be kind...
Lovely picture, also!
Have a nice day!

Here everybody seems too busy for small gestures...and it is si easy to show a little bit of kindness! Lovely picture!

I love that kindness too. Hate when someone sees you and speeds up to close any gap. I always think that if we just work together we will all get where we are going, safely. Love that mural!

I do the thank you wave too. In rural Aus most people wave as they pass each other on the road. It doesn't happen in the city. I love that wall.
