Being Intentional

I haven’t picked up my camera much over the holidays. I mean, I got the usual Christmas opening-of-gifts snaps and a few here and there, but those were more shots of situations that called for pictures.  I did not set out or really planned for them.  They were more or less taken on auto-pilot mode.

Today, though, the weather was good and I just felt like… well, more like I felt I needed to take out my DSLR and go out and take photos. I made sure my battery was charged. I made sure I had my water with me. I made sure that I had on something with pockets (you know, for the lens cover). I set out with clear intent.  To take photos. I didn’t take too many shots, but I feel pretty happy with the few that I got and how they turned out.

It's a long time that I don't pick up my camera and go for a walk just by myself... Maybe it's time to do that!! Beautiful picture!

I think sometimes it is more about getting out and getting the creative juices flowing than actually the quantity of images. This is a good one for black/white, it keeps your focus in an already busy setting.

In all my travels I have never ridden atop a double decker bus, but it sure seems like it would be fun. ~May@Achieving Clarity

It is so good when you get that urge to go out and take photos. I hope you enjoyed your time out and felt nice and relaxed afterwards.
