Cool Pooch

Don’t get me wrong. I love dogs. I grew up having pet dogs, but I don’t recall ever dressing any of them up –even the lap dogs.  Here, I’ve seen dogs (1) wearing sweaters in winter time; (2) dressed up during Halloween; (3) being pushed around in a pram, just like a baby; (4) wearing booties to keep their paws clean. I’ve even once overheard a doggie play date being arranged!

I finally got to check out a shop in Stanley that sells cutesy stuff for dogs (and cats?) while I was taking visiting relatives around.  This shop has different outfits for dogs and other stuff.  On display were different (plush) dogs wearing different outfits and some had shades on as well.  I’d thought the shades were just some toy shades that they put on the plush dog.  It turned out that they actually sell those shades.  What’s more, this couple actually got one for their dog.  The dog does look cute in them, but I wonder what it would say if it could talk…

Hilarious! My cat could fit into medium dog size clothes-yes he is that big. Bigger than the 6-8 lb pooches out there :). That is his breed-they are big cats.

lol that is cute, I have a little dog, a jack russell terrier, she gets cold in the winter so I have a jersey for her but most of the time no we don't dress her up

Poor dog! I have dogs which are allowed to be dogs, digging and happy getting dirty. For some people their pets seem to be a substitute for children .

He is sooo cute in his shades. He looks really happy, but I can't see my own pooch being overly delighted about being dolled up like that. All the best for a lovely weekend, Bonny

My daughter use to dress up our poodle when she was little in her clothes, but I have a golden retriever now, even though he would be oh so cute in a coat. There is no point in babying the darling, he is already babied enough.

Haha - well it does look cute but I´m not into the dressing up thing (I´ve done it a couple of times for fun photos though but wouldn´t take my dog for a walk with the clothes on). :-)
