I was trying to clear out some of the old toys and games that the children have outgrown and found a stash that I’d bought and forgotten. In the stash were mostly “save-for-later” games that I’d bought when the kids were much younger. In the pile was this Alex Loop ‘N Loom. Perfect rainy day activity (it’s been quite wet around here lately)! Zoë had a blast weaving and made three potholders for us.

I have such fond memories of doing this as a kid!
I remember making these as a child, too! Such fun on a rainy day!
Those are so fun! I loved making "potholders".
Nice idea for bonding activity with kids :)
I remember doing the same things with my kidds at that age :-)
brings back the memories!

It does look so good in colour. What a fun thing to do.
What a great thing to make and a good idea, keeping toys for later, when you remember they are there.
love the textures and colours! looks like a lovely activity!
I bet I´d think that was fun to play with as well :-)

time spent with your children is definitely the best of times!
Joining in with the chorus of "I remember doing this as a kid!" Such a great find! I love discovering treasures I've hidden away. Fortunately my kids' birthdays are February and April...so when I discover forgotten Christmas trinkets or stocking stuffers, they find their way quickly into a birthday stash!
Very colourful potholders .... I would take them in our kitchen :)
And by the way we have rainy bad weather too here!
Cheers, Heidrun
I had one of these looms when I was a child and loved it. I remember I made enough pot holders to keep my mom in business for yers !!! Thanks for sharing. Visiting from Little by Little.
