Back to School

School has started this week and slowly we’re getting back into a routine of sorts.  Early dinner, earlier bedtimes.

The kids have reported back that their first two days of school had been fun.  Zoë is proud to be an Upper School kid now and Josh is looking forward to making this his best year in this school before he moves on to middle school (a different campus).

The ‘Meet the Teacher’ night has been scheduled for next week and I’m really looking forward to it.   Problem is that as both kids are now in Upper School, I cannot be at both classes at the same time.   Either Chris comes with me to attend one, while I attend the other or if he’s going to be away on a trip, I might have to miss one (or spend half the time in one and move on to the other class for the final half of the other).  It used to be that I could attend the Lower School one first and then go attend the Upper School one, which is scheduled right after.

The only thing that needs to get sorted out now are their after-school activities.  Depending on what school clubs there will be and what days of the week they fall, I think I’m all set for this school year.

How exciting! Crazy that he's one year from middle school...time flies.
My school does two sessions for each class on back to school night - we do the same presentation 2x but parents with numerous kids can go to two, a lot for us but best for them!

School doesn't start here until next week but we are meeting the teachers today. This is Coleen's last year in Grade School (5th).
Very pretty flower, the colored version is so cheery.
BW is really nice as well. I liked them both.

Thanks for visiting me! When I wanted to reply, I saw your meme today:) Part of my grandkids start school today, and some others start Aug. 31, depending on which suburb they live.

Juggling those schedules gets more challenging as the grow up. I'm feeling a little nervous about all the plates to keep spinning this year. Hope your kids continue to have an amazing year. I know they will. They seem to really love learning!

I am glad that school has started well. It is a little strange to me hearing of you starting the school year when here students are half way through. The kids here start school at the end of January. Lovely flower and I hope your teach meetings work out.

They were hectic, but now all my kids are adults with their own hectic school schedulings, but I miss those days. Love your flower photo in color or B&W. :)

Peabea visiting from B&W Wednesday.

Love to see the comparison of the bright yellow and b/w. Somehow it's the bloom that is the star in the color version and the stem that is the star in b/w!
