The pollution levels had been pretty bad last week. After-school (outdoor) activities had to be cancelled. Sore throats, coughing, headaches all around. Not fun. Had to keep the windows closed and air purifier / air-con on all the time.
I still went out on my weekly hike, though. Maybe that was why I wasn't feeling so well afterward. Maybe that's also why this pretty butterfly wasn't feeling so well either. It was probably injured; that's why it was on the ground and allowed me to get close enough to get a good shot.
Anyway, it's supposed to be raining all this week. Hopefully we will have clearer skies and cleaner air after the rain.

How is your week coming along?

Beautiful shot...sorry at came because of such an awful reason.
I feel your pain - I have asthma and pollution kills me.

So pretty! Thank you for sharing, and as an asthma sufferer, I can sympathize... believe me!

That's a pretty butterfly, haven't seen one with those colours. Hope you all feel better soon :-)
Love Butterflies...so pretty. Hope this one was okay and just stopping for the photo shoot. Our rains just stopped and this week is now hot so hopefully the rains are now over your way. :)

Scary news on the pollution. Hope it's clearing....
The air quality in Ghana can be terrible at times when we visit there, so I can imagine what you are going through. At home here in the Pacific Northwest we are pretty spoiled with our normally clean, fresh air.
Sorry to hear about the air quality problems. To be honest, I haven't thought about pollution outside my door since I moved from the Chicago area many years ago--it was BAD. Fortunately, I hear that the air has been cleaned up a lot since then.
I do hope the little butterfly was OK.
