Wishing for Snow

I know, I know. Many of you are so looking forward to spring, especially after all the snow that you’ve had.

Well, it’s never snowed in Hong Kong and I doubt it ever will. However, that doesn’t stop Josh from praying that it will snow here, that he will get to play in the snow and build snowmen and have snowball fights.

When Chris called home from Korea last night, I could hear him tell Josh (on speakerphone) that there’s snow there. They talked some more and then I looked over at Josh and saw that he was trying to blink back tears. My asking him what was wrong broke the dam and the tears just rolled down his cheeks while he blurted out, “I wish we have snow in Hong Kong. Why don’t we ever get snow?!” Poor thing.

This is a drawing that he made earlier this year.
He wishes for:

An alarm clock
An umbrella
A slide in our living room
A dog (No ears, no tail)
A swimming pool
A sandbox
A boat

(Some are doable… some, well, he’ll have to keep dreaming.)

You don't have a slide in you living room??? LOL! I was goin' to tell you to be careful what you wish for but it is Josh and that's OK!

My niece who lived in Brownsville Tx had never seen snow so one year when we had a big snow I make a boatload of snowballs and put them in the freezer so we could have a snowball fight when she visited in the summer. It was a blast!

God bless and have a beautiful day!!!

Has Josh ever been in the snow? Then if it won't snow there, then you'll have to take Josh and Zoe to the snow. Sounds like a trip to Hong Kong is coming, right?

An umbrella huh? That one should be easy. Now... a slide in your living room and snow. That might take some time. Such a cute drawing!

Oh ... So sweet!
If I could, next time ... I'd ship some snow to you!

Joshua has lovely penmanship! Smart boy!

Awwwww.....I'm SURE he could find some snow if he just headed north. Or you could come see some of ours! *grin*

Awwww... we had quite a bit of snow here this year which is very unusual. The girls filled up a couple of containers and put them in the freezer. Rylee was heartbroken to open hers up only to find that somehow much of the snow had "escaped"!

The slide might be an easier wish to grant :)

Awww... I sure hope he gets what he wished for. I could send him snow pictures if you want from our snow. I wish I could box it up and send him some snow. Love his picture.

LoL...A dog (No ears, no tail) how cute! We don't have snow in San Francisco and my girls want them too. They got so excited when it hailed a few days ago and saw ice pellets on the ground. They screamed "it's snowing, it's snowing!"

Maybe, just maybe one day, it might snow in HK. The world climate is changing, you never know.
