I used to shy away from shooting in the too-bright sun, but now I actually love what it gives me. Especially when there are objects to partially block it, giving me some great shadows to offset the brightness.

That is so gorgeous! You have such an eye.
Street photography with strong light and shadows just go so well together! I always enjoy your work!
The light and detail of this photo amaze me. I could stare at it for a long time and imagine the lives of the people rushing by. The woman in a mask (?), the thoughtful woman in the foreground. Love it!
cool photo! love it
yes actually "against the light" can create some great images. I love this B&W street photography. I wish I lived in a place that lead to more interesting street photography. Wishing you all the best for 2015
Beautiful!!!

Awww I love the sunshine! Makes everything so bright!
Lots of busy people!
Great street shot and all the shadows and light make for great black and whites.
What a wonderful 'human interest' photo in BW ~ love the Asian woman in the foreground ~

Absolutely awesome photo. The building and the shadows of the people are spectacular. Love it.
Visiting from B&W Wed.

I love this photo! I love that it is in Black and White!
For portraits, no way; for lifestyle images - absolutely. Life doesn't stop and only show itself when the lighting is "right". Fantastic shot, filled with interest.
Me too, and I think it's a great rule to break!
Very nice street scene.
That is a very interesting photo showing daily life. Love it and you are right about the contrast being good.
