w e d n e s d a y... the sweet smell of new books

I have a few new books lying here waiting to be picked up and read.  I would dig right into them, but I have a stack of library books that I have to get through first.  The library books have due dates; my own books don't.  So there they sit, waiting patiently for me to go through my other stack first.  That doesn't mean that they're completely ignored and forgotten, though.  They're all nicely protected with cover film and once in a while, I'd pick them up and riffle through the pages.  Is it weird that that new book smell that wafts up as I riffle through the pages sparks joy in me?

I love books - we have just been to the library today and I selected a book to borrow by the same author of another recent book I enjoyed very much. I already had a book on my bedside table, that belongs to my sister, so that will be put aside for now, until I've finished the new one! Have a fabulous week. Our family has been involved with dragon boating for years, so thanks for sharing the pic!

Teamwork is always the best. Yes, I'm a hands on book reader. I do like to read on Kindle, but nothing better than to have the book. I do book reviews for Bethany House and always fun the anticipation of waiting on my book to review. Also, I'm a fan of the Library as sometimes I don't keep the books that I buy. Agree on the smell. :)

It's now again a great time to read a book... and I read The great gardener by Stephen Anderton.

The library was always a magical place for me growing up. I'd walk to the library in our little town and come home with a big stack of books. Is there anything better than getting lost in the story of a good book?

I love new books. It took me a long time to get over my issue with second hand books...but due to cost I'm learning.

Yes, I have the same at my home! What to read first -- that is always the question! We will never be bored, right?!

I still prefer actual books over e-readers!
